Originally from Upstate New York, Sara moved to Charlotte in 1995 after graduating from Wells College where she received a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education. Sara earned her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the School of Social Work at UNC-Chapel Hill and holds a license in Clinical Social Work (LCSW).
Married and the mother of two young boys, Sara understands firsthand the everyday stress placed on a family in today’s fast-paced society.
After working in our community schools and hospitals for 17 years, Sara has decided to continue pursuing her dream of helping others by opening her own practice.

Sara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering therapeutic support to individuals, groups, and families. Sara’s passions are working with women, children, and families. She uses her clients' strengths to build solutions for achieving better balance in their lives.
Sara is warm, caring and non-judgemental when it comes to listening to others. She is genuine and normalizing when working with her clients and has been acknowledged for her supportive style in hearing and validating the feelings of others. Sara helps her clients attain the tools and resources needed to achieve their goals.

Sara chose the lotus flower to represent her practice as it symbolizes her focus on growth, improvement, and moving through life’s journey in a positive way.
In many cultures, the lotus symbolizes purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration, and rebirth. Because the beautiful lotus flower grows from the mud of a pond, it is a perfect illustration of how we can rise, strong and beautiful, from even the most difficult circumstances.
As a social worker, Sara’s passion is helping people improve their lives. While following the NASW Code of Ethics, Sara will look at every aspect of her clients’ lives, using a holistic approach in helping them move forward through life’s challenges to reach their full potential. |
